Isaac Chirwa

My name Is Isaac Mangani Chirwa, I am from  Malawi which is in the southern part of Africa .I did my community experience in Mzuzu Malawi , and Tangueta Benin .I enjoyed my experiences in these three communities they have made me to grow and being of help to the sick and the needy .

In Malawi I did enjoyed the experience because I spend my time in the psychiatric hospital my experience there was remarkable because like St John God his aim was to give the mentally challenged people the care different to the harsh treatment that he himself received in the royal hospital. My experience here in this community was good because brothers try to use available resources in the areas around and the local people to help them to fulfill the charism that was left to us by the founding father St John Of God.

My other experience was in the General Hospital of Tangueta Benin in West Africa, Tangueta Hospital is found in the Vice Province Of St Richard Pampuri . My experience here was great. The most important thing that I experience this community is that this hospital covers patients from different countries of west Africa like Benin, Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria even some from Mali. I saw how the work of our Hospitaller brothers are doing here in Africa .

From these experiences I came to find out how the Hospitaller Order of St John of God touches the lives of our sufferings brothers and sisters here in Africa. The care brothers and the coworkers show to the needy here in Africa.

In conclusion I will say that this chrism that our founder John of God left for us, Hospitality is a shared duty for both of us, we as brothers and the people who helped us in our various centres worldwide to reach this goal
