I was born in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in 1978. These islands are located 1,300 km southeast of the Indian subcontinent. I am the third of six children and I had the idea of becoming a Religious from when I was very young. However in secondary school I tried to put the notion out of my head. In 10th Grade I again felt attracted to the religious life but my parents insisted that I go on to higher studies. In 12th grade I had a religious experience that convinced me that I should be a religious and I was able to get my parents to agree to my trying out the Don Bosco Society. However, I came home after about six months. Later at a Vocations Seminar I felt called to be a Religious Brother. My parish priest gave me the addresses of various Brotherhoods and I ended up deciding to write to the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God. I became a postulant in June 2003 and a novice in December 2004. This led to my making my first vows on 8 December 2006. During my initial formation I became increasingly attracted by the works of Hospitality carried out by the Brothers and their Co-workers. Today I joyfully give thanks for God's faithful love in my life and for his call. I also give thanks for the love and faithfulness of those who have journeyed with me, including my family, close friends and my Brothers in India and around the world.
