I’d like to tell you about a wonderful barbecue organized at my house.

What made the evening special was the fact that me, my husband, and our three children invited five religious over.

We were very excited. Obviously, we were hoping that everything would go well and that we would have things to talk about, that the weather would be pleasant and the atmosphere serene.

Finally our guests arrived.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly.

My husband worked on the grill and I cleared the table outside and set it again inside because it had started raining.

The kids were very lively, bright and talkative, as always. We soon found topics of conversation. Attracted by the cheerful atmosphere, the elderly couple that lives next door joined us. It even stopped raining and the sun began to shine again.

At that point my eldest daughter decided to take two of our guests on a guided tour of the village and its church. After lunch, they decided to continue the visit of the surroundings by bicycle!

Meanwhile, the rest of us sat on the terrace, playing and singing. Even the younger ones were enthusiastic.

To help our digestion, some of us decided to get some exercise, playing with stilts, badmington, waveboard etc. Others had fun blowing soap bubbles, painting rocks … briefly, we tried a bit of eveything.

We were like a big family.

The evening ended with cheerful and interesting conversations by candlelight.

In conclusion: it was the essence of hospitality!
