Being a professional health-care worker,   I work as nursing supervisor at the Centre for Rehabilitation and Mental Health.

As a nurse, being supervisor means that I strive continuously to improve the quality of care that the patient receives. This in turn means being actively engaged with three different areas involving:  the patient . . . nursing techniques . . . and the team providing the care.

Therefore the supervisor needs to possess:  rank, status, which is the same thing: authority – professional level.

The highest, single kind of supervision is to make sure that the patient receives the best possible nursing care and that its quality improves steadily.
