Rudio-Uzarraga

I am Maria Cristina Rudio-Uzarraga – 48 years old, married and blessed with two children. I am a native of Quezon Province (south of Manila) and reside in Paranaque City (Metro Manila). As a nurse, my first job gave me a lot of satisfaction. I was assigned to different charity wards. That exposed me to all kinds of people mostly poor, abandoned and neglected and taught me to value life, to work hard and to be more caring for others. Going to work in the Order’s Polyclinic in 2009 opened my eyes to the reality of life and was a new beginning. My day begins with personal prayer so that I can give my best to our patients. As a nurse I give them my time and listen to their concerns and sentiments and establish a constant open communication with them. Besides this, we develop programs to assist them in their basic needs and to educate them about a healthy lifestyle and how to enrich their spirituality. By this means, I am able to show hospitality by accommodating these people in all walks of life and treating them as our own brothers and sisters and most especially by encouraging them to live with high hopes and integrity. God has a purpose in how and when we are born in this world. We must not put limits on ourselves. So many dreams are waiting to be realized. Let us make them come true and not let opportunities pass without gaining its advantage.
