I have been working for 28 years in my centre, as the Head of the Cardiology Department which comprises 13 cardiologists, two nurses and two administrative staff. My function is to organise, plan and coordinate the service and the provision of care. While I devote part of my time to care, I keep in constant contact with my patients and their problems and thereby try to work out strategies to improve the quality of care while developing my vocation to serve.

In recent years we have greatly developed the service by incorporating a whole floor of the building in 2004 so that we can meet an increased demand and keep pace with the increasing complexity and improved quality of medical care, ranging from comprehensive cardiology care, cardiovascular preventive care, and cardiovascular rehabilitation. These new premises provides us with the assistance of a medical and human working team to enable us to develop new growth projects in order to continue providing quality care with the charism of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God.
