When I think about Hospitality, what it means to me and the people I support, I always remember the saying `meet and greet people the way you would want someone to meet and greet you`. You always remember the people who are friendly, genuine and take time to speak to you. Here in Kildare services, I believe Hospitality is core to all that we do. It is an integral part of relationship building and having positive relationships with the people we support is essential. We are in challenging times, with resources being cut and work colleagues under increasing pressure, however Hospitality is free and when offered can be priceless, wherever we are or what we are doing.

In Kildare Services, Ireland we pride ourselves on the work we do and how we welcome all whom we support. Barriers are broken, judgements are disregarded especially for those who might feel `left behind `or `excluded` in society. Today I walked through our local town, Celbridge,it was very evident that the community have embraced the people who we support. We were met with genuine smiles and positive interactions throughout our walk. There was no sense of anyone being perceived as `special` or in need of `pity`. I believe the Celbridge community have embraced hospitality as have the St. John of God Community. We are all in a better place as a result.
