My temporary profession took place on April 26th 1962 en Sibaté Cundinamarca, and Solemn Profession on April 26th 1968 at Our Lady of Peace Clinic, Bogotà D.C.  I celebrated the golden jubilee of my vows in 2012.

After preparing myself during the different stages of Initial Formation and following the spirit and charism of “the man who knew how to love”, I continued with Ongoing Formation, at no time forgetting my life of assiduous prayer, “the engine of spiritual life” and therefore of the very spirituality of my beloved Hospitaller Order, fraternal and community life, with responsibility for taking the charism of Hospitality everywhere;  serving the sick, their families, co-workers and volunteers and all those who make up and are members of the humanizing and evangelizing cause that the Holy Spirit nurtures and animates in the Church.  I consecrated myself to a specific purpose, to carry out Christ’s command:  “Cure  and heal the sick in their entirety” (Matt 10, 7 – 8)

Reflection, Formation, the living of the Word and my spiritual directors have been and I hope will continue to be of great support, together with the practice of the sacraments well celebrated, especially the Eucharist as centre-point.

Up to now, thanks be to God, I have felt myself fulfilled in the vocation that the Lord gave me, particularly in my work with the patients and my activities in Pastoral Health Care and Humanization, which I find fascinating.  I have also worked alongside volunteers in the various houses where I have practised Hospitality.
