I witness hospitality around me every-day, be it in the form of a supportive work colleague or an appreciative word or email of thanks from some work I have done. The people I encounter create a hospitable place to come to work in almost every-day.

I may not be on the front line in relation to providing the support for the people who use our services, but having a place in that line feels good.  As I sit at my desk in the marketing & communications department and think of being employed by Saint John of God Hospitaller Services and the Order for nearly ten years I am in a state of shock, for two reasons: how quickly the time is passing and how the’ hospitaller way’ surprises me every day. I get a glimpse into the goings on in the services a number of ways but my favourite, apart from visiting,  is  through the medium of the photographs which taken at events and outings.  The Order’s values are conveyed so simply in these pictures and you can feel the joy, warmth and compassion in that moment.
