Conclusion of the General Canonical Visitation

Province of the Blessed Mary of the Holy Spirit, Vietnam


The General canonical visitation of the Vietnamese Province stared on 2nd May 2024 and closed the visitation on 6th June 2024. The closing took place in the presence of Prior General Bro. Jesus Etayo and the General councilor Bro. Pascal Ahodegnon. In the province there are four canonical communities and four non canonical communities. There are 72 Solemn Professed Brothers, 11 scholastics, 06 novices, one oblate and five candidates. The membership of the province is 90 Brothers altogether. The province is mainly offering hospitality services in the area of traditional medicine such as acupuncture, physiotherapy, laser therapy etc. They also produce herbal medicine and the herbal medicine is used for the treatment of the patients at their centers. There are 7 centers of the traditional medicine and there are about 100 co-workers in the province. Most of the Brothers are working at their centers. The patients who are treated at their centers are partly or completely paralyzed or with other symptoms after stroke, or after accidents etc. They have residential care services and day care services. Recently they started a palliative care service for 10 patients. The province is making good progress providing hospitality services and made lot of improvements in terms of infrastructure.

The visitation concluded on the 06th June with a meeting of all Brothers in the province in the morning and another meeting with Brothers and Co-workers where in the afternoon, followed by Holy mass and Agape meal to all participants.
