The Hospitaller Brothers of Saint John of God of the Latin America and Caribbean Province have launched the Corazones Solidarios (Solidarity Hearts) campaign to help those affected by the horrendous fires in the Valparaiso region of Chile, especially the most vulnerable. The fires have been devastating, there are many families who have lost everything.

It is urgent that together with social organisations, we can help in a coordinated way in this emergency. We want families to have a place to cook, eat and sleep, equipped with beds, kitchen, dining room and dishes.

We are aware that these are not definitive solutions, but they will allow us to improve the quality of life of those affected in the short term.
