After the election of Brother Hugues ASSOU as the Brother Provincial, the following Brothers were elected as Councillors:

Second Provincial Councillor Brother Leopold GNAMI

Third Provincial Councillor Brother Marcel ATILAN

Fourth Provincial Councillor Brother Nicolas N'SALE

The First Provincial Chapter of the African Province of Saint Richard Pampuri began on 06 June 2022 at the Centre Notre Dame du Cénacle in Vogan (TOGO), attended by 21 Brothers and 5 Co-workers. It was presided over by Brother Jesus ETAYO, the Prior General, accompanied by Brothers Pascal AHODEGNON, General Councillor, and André SENE, the Secretary General.

In preparation for the celebration of this great event in the life of the Province, a period of recollection was organised from the evening of Saturday 04 to Sunday 05 June, animated by the Camillian Father Benjamin FAGNINOU, on the theme of the Chapter: "Go Forth with Passion to promote Hospitality". In his instruction, he placed special stress on the word "passion" which helps us to resist being self-referential and to promote Hospitality in the manner of Saint John of God.

The Chapter opened with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Brother Hugues Assou, Councillor and Provincial Secretary. In his homily, the Prior General evoked the celebration of the 450th anniversary of the Ball, Licet ex debito, and urged the Capitulars to experience this Chapter in fidelity to the same spirit and the passion that had animated the first Brothers companions of our Father, St. John of God, all those centuries ago.
