The 4th Chapter of the Western European Province  opened in the afternoon of 13 March. After a prayer led by Sr Marie Dunne CHF, Brother Donatus Forkan welcomed everyone attending. Presiding over the Chapter is Brother Joseph Smith, acting as the delegate of the Prior General accompanied by Brother Joaquim Erra of the General Council. In addition to the Brothers elected as vocals, several Brothers from the different communities in the Province are also attending, as well as a number of co-workers who have taken on the management of the centres and other responsibilities.

The Chapter is taking place in the form of a conversation about the state of the Province, which includes Ireland, England and Malawi. Prayer, reflection, dialogue and sharing – these are the ways in which we feel we are being invited to accompany and help one another, confiding in the presence and help of the Holy Spirit, and embracing the future with hope.
