First Profession on 1 May 2021 in the Africa Region
The Africa Region celebrated the first profession of twelve (12) novices on 1 May 2021 upon completing their formation at the Saint Richard Pampuri Interprovincial Novitiate in Agoé-Nyivé (Lomé-TOGO),
The Brothers' first vows were received by Brother Rodrigue DJITRINOU, the Superior of the Province of Saint Richard Pampuri, acting as the delegate of the Superior General, in the presence of Brother Paul-Marie TAUFANA, the Superior of the French Province.
The rite of profession was performed during the Eucharist on the Solemnity of St Joseph the Worker and St Richard Pampuri, the Patron Saint of the Novitiate and the Province, at which Brother Hugues ASSOU OH presided, attended by Brother Jacob KETCHEN OH, the Master of Novices, Brother Christian Clavé OH and a number of Religious and Diocesan priests.
The rite of entry to the Novitiate by twelve (12) postulants and the renewal of vows by two (2) scholastics of the community had taken place earlier that morning, during Lauds.
It offered an opportunity for the provincials to congratulate and encourage all the brothers at these different stages in their vocational journey to persevere in their decision to follow Christ in the footsteps of our Father, Saint John of God.
