The General Commission on Bioethics met for the second time this year on 13 July 2018 attended by Brother José M. Bermejo; Brother Benigno Ramos; Dr. Salvino Leone; Dr. Maria Teresa Iannone; Dr. Silvia Oger ; Dr. Jurgen Wallner; Sr Margarita Bofarull;  Brother Patrick  Jungfiyini and Brother André Sène (Commission Secretary).

As it was the last meeting of the Sexennium, the Prior General, Brother Jesús Etayo, was present at the meeting to greet the members, and above all to thank them on behalf of the General Definitory for the work they had done over the past 6 years in the matter of Bioethics.

The one-day Commission meeting had essentially been convened to review what had been achieved for the Sexennium Report for presentation to the 2019 General Chapter.

Bro. José María Bermejo, in his capacity as Commission President, thanked everyone for their hard work and cooperation in dealing with the complex and highly topical issues it had addressed, and presented the draft of the book containing the proceedings of the International Bioethics Congress in digital format. At the end of the meeting, he invited the members of the Commission to share a fraternal supper.
