On 21 and 22 June 2017, the Europe Regional Commission on Health and Social Pastoral Care met the leaders of the Provinces’ pastoral care teams. The pastoral care workers were given the opportunity to receive formation, as well as be able to share their experiences in this field. The main matters discussed were:

Second paper: What our guests expect of the spiritual and religious care service, by Dr Eckhard Frick

The Pastoral Care Workers also had the opportunity to share their research work, including:

Spiritual and religious needs in the field of mental health and disabilities (Maureen McCabe);

Spiritual and religious needs in the social sphere (Susana Queiroga and Ana Rita Sousa);

Spiritual and religious needs in general hospitals (Robert Buder);

The spiritual and religious needs of our Co-workers (Laura Zorzella).
