My testimony to hospitality within the Charism of Saint John of God dates back 23 years, during which I have had the opportunity to learn that hospitality is not only a value but also a way of life which has marked out the different circumstances of my life.

These 23 years of my history began with the opportunity I was given to serve at the Our Lady of Peace - Nuestra Señora de la Paz - Hospital as a secretary in the head office, and that was only the beginning of my experience of service to the institution within which I have remained many years, working in such posts as External Consultant, Treasurer and Invoice Clerk.

I feel fortunate not only to have had the satisfaction of being able to give a little of myself and contribute, through my work, to this institution whose purpose is to serve the sick, but also to feel rewarded by the welcome I received from the Hospitaller Order and the fact of being given the experience of community by all my companions, guests and the Brothers.

What also gives me pleasure is to see that the experience of Saint John of God has enabled me to grow and has led me to pass on the value of hospitality to my family and friends, and I feel proud that all those who surround me acknowledge my acts of service and hospitality, which are attributed to the fact of belonging to the St John of God family: my second family.
