Vocation is a love story written with one’s life. A love story …
Jesus Christ («JC» [Jesus Cristo], as I like to call Him) was always special to me. I was attracted by His way of being and living. Little by little, I came to realize that throughout human History there have always been people who have dedicated their entire life to Him. I wanted to be like them … Persevering in my quest for happiness, I understood that prayer and the Eucharist drew me to Him … and this filled me with joy.
Later, I met someone who captured my heart … A friend, someone special … We planned our future together: we wanted to build our own family. We wanted to be happy. But my gleeful heart was restless!
One sunny day I received an invitation to go to a summer camp organized by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a new experience for me. I went … I saw … I heard … I experienced! The joy of the sisters was contagious. The simplicity of their life, captivating! How wonderful! What a dream! This is what my heart was searching for. And the mission: contemplating such great beauty in such fragile faces, feeling such great peace and tenderness in the midst of so much suffering … There was something else there, «JC». I knew I had found the place where I belonged.
In spite of the struggles and misunderstandings, I had to follow the heart, the Heart that made my own heart happy.
In my daily life, I try to incarnate hospitality … For me, being hospitaller means being a reflection of God’s tenderness in the world of mental suffering. The experience I live in Christ makes me love the ones whom He loves deeply. It is a boundless love. "
Today I dream and hope that many others will feel drawn to «JC», who still fascinates me immensely.
