In recent weeks, several transnational meetings have
taken place on EU projects developed and successfully submitted by the Order's Office
in Brussels Hospitality Europe.
On
26 and 27 February, the San Juan de Dios Foundation held the first workshop in
Madrid as part of the TECH-HEALTH project, which focuses on digital
technologies and innovations in the healthcare sector. The event was attended
by doctors and healthcare professionals from the Order's hospitals in Spain,
Austria and Poland. Participants were offered a training and education course
on modern diagnostic imaging and 3D printing technologies that have brought
significant changes to the clinical practice of medicine and surgery.
On
18 and 19 March, the San Giovanni di Dio - Fatebenefratelli facility in Genzano
near Rome welcomed participants in the PUENTE project. The aim of the project
is to receive and integrate Ukrainian refugees in Europe. The project partners
are developing a joint European model for clinical, psychological and social
support for Ukrainian citizens based on their respective local experiences.
From
25 to 27 March, two transnational meetings took place simultaneously: the first
as part of the MOVE ON project (Instagram page: @move.on.erasmus.24) in Austria
(Graz) and the second as part of the RESTART project in Spain (Sant Boi de
Llobregat). The latter project involves facilities run by the Brothers and the
Hospital Sisters, where people are treated for problems with alcohol, drugs,
gambling or other digital addictions. The meeting in Spain was also attended by
representatives of important local authorities such as the Catalan health
authorities, the ABD Group (Working Group on Drug Issues) and the Esportsalus
Foundation.
