The Order's and Sisters Hospitallers' working group
dedicated to mental health, in collaboration with the Brussels Hospitality
Europe office, will play a leading role in an important initiative promoted by
the Don Bosco Salesians on the subject of young people's mental health.
The
Salesian Congregation has organised a series of international webinars
dedicated to the main causes and manifestations of mental illness and
psychiatric disorders among adolescents and young people today: eating
disorders, youth depression, bullying, the risks of self-harm and suicide, and
trauma among migrant or refugee children.
The
international webinars organised by the Don Bosco Salesians will be held from
12 to 21 March with a double session: the first one at 8 a.m. for Asia and
Oceania, and a later one at 6 p.m. for Europe, Africa and America.
The
speakers for the webinars will be the co-workers of the Order and the Sisters
Hospitallers who make up the mental health working group, together with other
co-workers operating in psychiatric institutions in European provinces.
The
webinars are aintended for the teaching staff and educators of Salesian Centres
around the world, but participation is also free of charge and open to the
Religious and Co-workers of the Order and the Sisters Hospitallers.
The
webinar programme and the link with the access credentials can be found on the
attached flyer.
