The last in-person meeting of the year of the General Commission for the Pastoral Care of the Sick was held on 14 and 15 November 2023.

Present were Brother Benigno Ramos (president, Brother André SENE (Secretary), Brother Francis MANNAPARAMPIL (Asia-Pacific Region who attended the meeting via Zoom), Mrs Susana QUEIROGA and Mr Peter WEINHAPPL (Europe Region), Father Théodore SOSSOUE (Africa Region), Brother Daniel Gonzalez (Latin America Region), and Brother Tom OSORIO (WEONA Region).

The following items were on the agenda:

1 - Presentation of the final document on the Pastoral Care of the Sick in relation to the Encyclical "Laudato SI", by Prof. D. Juan Francisco García Ambrosio via Zoom .

2 - Decalogue for people with disabilities and the dissemination of the theme and good practice in all our regions.

2 - Regional pastoral care activities: particular attention was paid to significant pastoral experiences since the last meeting.

3 - Evaluation of the team during this six-year period.

The next meeting to present the document online is scheduled for March 2024, which will be the final meeting of the commission's six-year term.
