The Order's Centre
in Kainbach bei Graz (Austria) has just hosted a transnational meeting of an EU
project for the second time in a few months. The final meeting of the MOVE project last May was followed by the meeting
of the REVIVAL project in the Styria Centre on 4 and 5 October. The meeting
took place in a very cooperative atmosphere and followed on from the previous
meeting in Ireland.
The meeting was attended by representatives from all the Centres involved in the project (Spain, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Ireland, Greece as well as the Brussels Hospitality Europe office) with the exception of the Polish partner (Fatebenefratelli Charitable Foundation - Konary), which nevertheless managed to take part in both days’ proceedings via a video-conference link.
REVIVAL is one of the latest European projects promoted
by the Brussels Hospitality Europe office, and sets out to foster the inclusion
of people with disabilities through their participation in artistic and
cultural activities, particularly in the fields of theatre and acting. At the
Austrian meeting, the participants discussed various topics of the project,
including the production of a series of videos designed to promote the learning
of acting techniques by people with disabilities. They were also offered the
opportunity to attend a preview of a play that the Centre's guests are
preparing for next year, dedicated to the Holy Land and focusing on a number of
Gospel episodes. A new transnational
meeting at the headquarters of the Aratos theatre company in Thessaloniki and a
meeting at the 'Abandoned Jesus Foundation' in Murcia (Spain) attended by
guests of the European Centres are on the agenda for 2023.
The videos and other materials being developed as part of the REVIVAL
project are accessible at
