From 30 May to 2 June, the Prior General, accompanied by General Councillor Rudolf, Brother Giampietro and Brother Pascal, and the Secretary-General Brother André, visited the Cernik community (Croatia), and their hospital which was inaugurated on 29 May 2011. The Superior of the Lombardy-Veneto Province, Brother Massimo, accompanied by General Councillor Brother Gian Carlo, they attended the inauguration of the Statue of St John of God, which stands at the main gate of the hospital.
The Prior General and the Brothers attended the celebration of Corpus Christi which is held on 31 May in Croatia. After Mass, they processed throughout the hospital in honour and praise of our Lord’s presence among His people, particularly by the side of the poor and those in need. The Prior General was also able to visit the hospital facilities, and the community of Sisters who serve the hospital. It was a great experience of brotherhood, for which the Prior General thanked Brother Kristjan, the Superior of the community, and Brother John, a member of the community, for their warm welcome and their fraternal hospitality.
