Latin America Region

A week of Reflection

A group of 70 Hospitaller Brothers from the three Provinces and the General Delegation, covering Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, Cuba and Honduras, and one Brother representing Brazil, met on 3 to 7 April in Lima (Peru) to resume their reflections on the future of the Order in Latin America.

This meeting, which forms an important part of the Life of the Brothers, is one in a series of meetings that the Brothers have been holding since 2014 to discuss the mission and the future of the Latin America Region of the Hospitaller Order, with renewed vigour.

At this meeting the Brothers completed the SEE process, and will later with the JUDGE and then the ACT stages of the Plan which they are pushing forward with the “PLAN PASAR” team of experts.

This meeting was also attended by the Provincial Superiors, the General Delegate and the Provincial Delegate of Brazil, as well as the General Curia Delegate for Latin America, together with the Superior General, Brother Jesús Etaya Arrondo.

They also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Religious Consecration of Brothers Enrique Miyasgiro and Isidro Vásquez, and, at the behest of the Superior General, took the opportunity to join in unity internally to renew their profession of Poverty, Chastity, Poverty and Hospitality.
